With a passion for making food safety accessible and practical, Juliette established Food Safety Matters in 2017 to provide high-quality training. Juliette's expertise is backed by her professional membership with SAAFoST and her registration as a provisional auditor for SANS 10049 with SAATCA. She also served as a part-time lecturer in Microbiology and Food Safety at Nelson Mandela University for several years.

  • Is this the correct course for me?

    Do you work with food? If your answer is "Yes" then this training course is for you! Food handlers need to know how to keep food safe to prevent customers from falling ill. It is a legal requirement in South Africa that all people working on food premises must be qualified or trained in food safety and hygiene.

  • Does this course satisfy the requirements of Regulation 638 10(1)b?

    Yes. R638 10.1(b) states that all people working on food premises must be suitably qualified or trained in food safety and hygiene. This training must be conducted by a "suitable" person. Juliette le Roux is deemed a suitable person based on her qualifications and experience. Note that, if you are the Person-in-Charge, you should consider doing our accredited course.

  • Do I need to complete the entire course in one sitting?

    No, the course player will save your progress. You can complete the course at your leisure.
